Over the years the day in every corner of the country used to start with the AIR’s sweet signature tune. When on 3rd October 1957, AIR started the new service of  providing unique and healthy entertainment, this tune had already became an integral part of people’s lives.

वर्षों से देश के कोने कोने मे दिन की शुरुआत आकाशवाणी की मधुर सिग्नेचर ट्यून से होती आयी है। ये धुन लोगों के जीवन का एक अटूट हिस्सा बन चुकी थी, जब ३ अक्टूबर १९५७ मे आकाशवाणी ने एक नयी अनूठी और स्वस्थ मनोरंजन प्रदान करने वाली सेवा का आरम्भ किया।

This service which started with the aim of providing full fledged entertainment to common people of India was given a name which outlines the  cultural vividness of India …The Vividh Bharti Service.

देश की आम जनता को इन्द्रधनुषी मनोरंजन प्रदन करने के उद्देश्य से शुरू की गयी इस सेवा को एक ऐसा नाम दिया गया जो भारतीय संस्कृति की विविधता को रेखांकित करता है …  विविध भारती।
